It was a pleasure celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Crestview Place with the community. Big shout-out to the residents who’ve been community-building and making a home here since day one!

Since 1989, @iwontario has been assisting women, families, and members of the broader immigrant communities. It was a pleasure meeting the incredible women offering a welcoming space, educational programs, a mental health clinic, and community-building programs, right here in DVN.

It was a pleasure meeting staff and volunteers from the Sonshine Day Camp at the Don Valley Bible Chapel. With federal support through our Summer Jobs funding, they’re providing daily programs for children while parents are working.

Thanks to @RunChiNguyenRun for hosting the 416 Caucus at Toronto’s waterfront. We saw firsthand how Federal funding is helping to future-proof against floods and unlocking the Port Lands; a huge underutilized area downtown for building new housing, parks, and transit.

Today we celebrate the inaugural Group of Seven Day. They defined a national style with their works capturing the raw beauty of Canada’s rugged landscapes. The suffering pines of Georgian Bay always stood out to me for their stark beauty.

I was delighted join @shelleycarrollto’s Summer Celebration. Ice cream, barbecue, cotton candy, and even an inflatable bouncy castle, it is the THE summer event in DVN! Wonderful seeing our community come alive with laughter, music, and shared moments.

Happy Canada Day DVN! 158 years later, we are stronger together and there’s no better place to call home. I hope everyone has a safe and amazing time celebrating with loved ones!
