Vyshyvanka Day is an opportunity to show solidarity with Ukrainians and honour their remarkable resistance by wearing the vyshyvanka, a traditional embroidered shirt. Canada stands firmly with the people of Ukraine in support of a just and lasting peace.

It was a pleasure to join Heritage Canada’s Asian Heritage Month celebration and take in the wonderful performances. Generations of Asians across Canada have contributed to the rich tapestry of our country and it was great to celebrate with community leaders from across Canada.

Today is Personal Support Workers Day and we recognize and celebrate the incredible PSWs who are the backbone of the home, community care, and long-term care systems that look after some of our most vulnerable.

It was a pleasure touring @ventureLABca facilities and seeing their wall of patents. It was great to learn about their medtech startups and how ventureLAB leverages federal government investments to help founders in Canada build and scale to compete globally.  

We join Tamil communities in Canada and around the world in commemorating Tamil Genocide Rememberance Day to honour the tens of thousands of lives lost during the Sri Lankan Civil War and stand with the families of the survivors.

It was a pleasure to join Toronto Caucus members and leaders from across Ontario and make our case for Toronto to host the headquarters of the Defence, Security and Resilience Bank.

Today on Red Dress Day, we join communities across Canada in remembering Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and 2SLGBTQI+ people. It’s a reminder of the ongoing violence faced by Indigenous communities and our shared responsibility to work towards justice.
