It was a pleasure to meet with @TorontoSymphony and @CanadianOpera to discuss priorities in the arts sector. Arts and the economy reinforce each other, with the sector contributing >$63 billion to Canada’s GDP, as well as showcasing the richness of the Canadian experiences.

Our government advanced the first wave of nation-building projects to build our independence and diversify our economy. These projects span liquified natural gas, nuclear power, mining, and critical minerals – sectors that are central to Canada’s economic future. Click here for more info.

Congratulations to @tmu_medicine for opening their School of Medicine. It was a pleasure to celebrate with the first cohort of medical students and mark this milestone, Canada’s 18th medical school, as we work to train many more family doctors here in Ontario.

It was a pleasure to join @gregorrobertson at @UofT to learn about how the uni is building quality student residences to support academic success and a sense of community. Our government is working to unlock the sector to build housing at a faster rate than ever before.

It was a pleasure to join @PattyHajdu to announce over $26 million in funding to support youth employment and skills development. It was great meeting young Canadians that have gained practical skills from these programs and I look forward to seeing what they accomplish next.
