It was a pleasure to meet families and the staff at @RMHCCanada and learn about how for over 40 years they’ve been providing resources like space, meals, mental health and sibling support for families to stay close together while their children get the health care they need.

I was a pleasure to tour the Apotex facility in North York and learn about how they’re working on improving access to affordable medicines for Canadians.

It was a pleasure touring the @agotoronto and seeing how this wonderful gallery operates behind the scenes. The federal government is investing $25 million towards their new expansion to build 30% more space for exhibits and be an energy-efficient building.

Unions fought for the rights we rely on today; maternity leave, fair wages,  safer workplaces, paid sick days. This #LabourDay, we honour those hard-won victories and commit to the work ahead so that no one who puts in an honest day is left behind.

I was thrilled to announce on behalf of Hon. @MarjoriePLC, Minister of Health, over $10 million in funding to support our community partners in building programs to reduce the risk of chronic disease, leading to longer and improved quality of life for Canadians. More info: here

It was a pleasure to join Deputy High Commissioner Hardi Hamdin @MYHCOttawa and the Malaysian Association of Canada at their annual Summer Picnic. Yummy food, great vibes, and a joy to chat with members of the Malaysian, Laotian, and Indonesian communities.

It was a pleasure meeting with the President, the Dean of the Health Faculty, and staff at @YorkUniversity to learn about the first medical school focused on the training of family doctors. It was great to get hands-on at their nursing skills lab with @kbardeesy.

It was a pleasure meeting Paul Bailey @BlackHealthCAN to learn about their work in improving health and well-being of Black children, youth, and families in Canada.

Congratulations to @LetsGoToTheEX on their 146th year! They boost our local economy, create over a thousand jobs, and fuel the city a dozen @TinyTomDonuts at a time. It was a thrill to join their opening ceremony, I hope everyone visiting this year has a wonderful time.
